Everything you need to install, use, and understand ClipVault’s current workflow.
ClipVault is focused on text clipboard workflows. It is designed to help you keep recent copies, save repeat-use text, and keep frequently needed entries easier to find.
Download the latest packaged release from GitHub Releases and run the installer like a normal Windows app. Installed builds can use the built-in update flow when a release feed is configured.
When clipboard monitoring is enabled, ClipVault captures copied text automatically. History is meant for recent text you may want to revisit, reuse, or promote into a snippet.
Pinned items stay easy to find and are protected from normal history cleanup. Use pins for things that still need to live in your clipboard workflow, but are important enough to keep around.
Snippets are reusable saved text blocks. They work well for common replies, links, notes, or any text you paste often. You can create, edit, and copy snippets back to the clipboard from inside the app.
ClipVault includes search and a built-in log viewer. The log viewer is useful for troubleshooting and can filter entries by level.
Current settings include controls for:
ClipVault can export and restore application data. Because backups may include clipboard items, only export to places you trust and review your data before sharing it anywhere.
Packaged releases support update checks through the ClipVault release feed. If you are running a source build instead of an installed build, update behavior may differ.
